ITORO COLUMBA SPRINGS SURPRISES, DONATES WHEELCHAIR TO A WIDOW.

It was an outright display of compassion and exercise of goodwill, as Ikono Local Government Council chairman, Akparawa Itoro Columba presented a wheelchair to a widow today in his office at the Council secretariat, Ibiaku Ntok Okpo.
Presenting the gift, the action-soaked chairman recounted his campaign promises to his people, saying that the mandate entrusted on him is to ensure the safety of widows, less-privileged and orphans in the community.
Mrs Affiong who is a native of Iton Odoro, ward 2, Ikono Local Government Area suffered persistently at home due to a severe fractured bone, an injury sustained through an accident which occurred on the road from one of her business trips. A woman of kindness cherished in the community after the death of her husband many years ago couldn’t hide her joy when she received an unexpected gift of this magnitude. It could be recalled that last month a man was given a land by the Chairman in appreciation for meritorious service.
As part of ways to deepen his generosity on her, the chairman has taken over all medical bills, pledged to assist her in whatever area, and immediately directed her to undergo another medical examination in a reputable hospital.
